They say it holds up as well as any automotive paint. I see a lot of guys with painted valve covers so I think it will be okay. It has a heavy coat of clear coat over it. The bolts are offset to allow more clearance at the cam. They also have the new 2.200 BBC rod journals. They are only available through ERL. The theory is that the cranks will be stiffer.
