Also beware of going all LED, they don't quite have the correct spectrum for coral growth like MHs or T5HOs. Since you're advertising for Jon Moore, tell him to return my damned messages. Adding that many fish in under 30 days can lead to a huge bio-cycle crash. Basically when the waste starts building up in your tank everything will die. A normal amount of time for freshwater tank can take anywere from 3 weeks to 2 months to cycle. A saltwater tank can take much longer if done improperly. Im no noob...When I setup the tank, I used AgraLive sand, 20 lbs of live rock, and 20 gallons of 100% Natural Live Ocean Seawater from a local saltwater retailer (filled the rest with saltwater R/O). The tank was up and running for a little over 2 weeks before introducing the fish. I followed the cycle, testing the water every few days. There is a fair amount of brown algae which tells me that the tank was at the end of its cycle before I introduced fish. So far so good. If you used true live rock then that will help your tank cycle much faster. This. Looks a lot better than some of my friends setups and they've been growing theirs for a few months now lol. We get pretty much everything from Phishy at this point, although there is a killer saltwater place in Findlay with ridiculous prices on livestock and inverts. I shop there a lot. I mostly get fish from Jacks. Mainly because they run copper in systems, so fish are pretty much in QT while there. One more fish and my system is closed. I hadn't been up there for a few years and their new seahorse tank when you walk in is BADASS. Anthony, I was talking to Aaron up there and he told me to go with rapidled.com's DIY 6 led system for my tank. He said I should have no problem growing most corals.
