KennyFKINPowerz
No, you don't want to. Todd's shop (Reef Systems) has really gone downhill in quality the last year and his pricing is no longer competitive. We get pretty much everything from Phishy at this point, although there is a killer saltwater place in Findlay with ridiculous prices on livestock and inverts. Thats sad to hear. Its been a couple of years since I took my tank down so I am out of the loop a little,
KennyFKINPowerz
I always had a hard time going there. Although i bought quite a bit from him it was just hard to talk to him. If you didnt do everything his way you were stupid. And i have never cycled a tank..... Very true. He did used to try and tell me how stupid it was to have a sand bed and that I will be calling him up when it went foul.
MrMeanGreen
Yea Ive always liked the guys up at Phishy. I hadn't been up there for a few years and their new seahorse tank when you walk in is BADASS. Anthony, I was talking to Aaron up there and he told me to go with rapidled.com's DIY 6 led system for my tank. He said I should have no problem growing most corals. Heres the one Im going to go with: http://www.rapidled.com/servlet/the-253/06-Ultra-Premium-LED/Detail Food for thought: http://www.corareef.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11467&page=2 I supplement my T5HOs with LEDs, but as of yet it seems technology doesn't allow LEDs to be the primary source of proper light. GSXRAntwon
Thanks to Mr Green, I've added some coral to the tank. I also upgraded the moonlights in my PC to SMD LED 1w/led strips. It adds very nice color to the tank now http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/1fcbeaa4.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/7e2195cc.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/e03d1a5b.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/e90bf654.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/7221b234.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/05eb444d.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/f8b041fa.jpg

MrMeanGreen
That's a six-headed Hammer Spawn colony I gave him since I had another one. BTW, #2, the Magnesium/Strontium is one of the additives. The Xenia need Iodine, which also helps the other corals. Make sure you invest in some. GSXRAntwon
Update 3/1/12: Added a Bubble Tip Anemone, a Blasto frag, a Duncan, and a hairy mushroom. All of the corals and frags Anthony gave me are doing great. A lot of coraline algae is growing so that's a plus. I also picked up 3 Nasarious (sp) snails and 3 red algae eating hermits today. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/b3f716ea.jpg
