Tried to change the oil and found the filter cover studs are all stripped, so i have to get some new studs. The seat is becoming a huge issue, so far two dead ends on ebay. I have to finish up the controls, get the oil changed and it is ugly but road worthly. Needs paint, electronics hidden, custom exhaust, and seat and will just be slowly cleaning up the misc items as i ride it.

I have a guy that makes custom seats, just did one for Bonnis and looks sick if you still need one done

Thanks, third try on the seat shipped 7 days after i paid for it on ebay, they are getting bad feedback. Should be here on the 8th. I have just bought the fiberglass pan. I still need some type of padding.

Ordered a HID for the headlight because the stock H4 is like a old miners lamp. I will get some before and after pictures of the light output.

Also ordered a Honda CB400 mastercylinder because the stock one looks hanus and has a very slow leak. Hondas in the past have always had the best braking bikes to me. Their mastercylinder design was slightly different than other manufactures bikes.

Sorry boring update still messing with points and carbs.

I have to make a trip to the autoparts store for a timing light i guess. I found one of the leads on the points was so lose it disconnected when i touched it. One of the advance weight springs was so loose the weight wasn't even pressed up against the shaft. I did a little tweaking to the spring to put a slight tension on it so it matched the other spring. I noticed the contacts on the points are slightly off center so i adjusted that also. I should be good on timing after tonight.

The carbs are still not perfect. I went from a 112 jet stock to a 124 with the pods and chopped exhaust. After riding last night for about 5 miles right plug looks perfect, the left is almost fouled. It runs basically on 1.75 cylinders.

Welded up a bracket from stuff i had laying around last night just so i temporary mount the brake light and plate. It was just to nice out yesterday not to ride for a few. I will be making a final bracket from steel and weld it to the bike. Sorry, no finished product with the light mounted and seat on, to excited to ride.

Figured out that the left cylinder plug wire i was having issues with was barely connected. So i reapaired the left and checked the right one also. Revs much better and took it for a little spin last night to wake up the neighbors at 11. Seems to run much smoother, but still a ton of work left. Clutch is very strange in that sometimes its very smooth and other times its very tight and sticks. Cable and lever is free so maybe the cam the operates the clutch?

Sorry i haven't been adding anything and thread is starting to loose some steam. Just been doing small things to clean up the bike, but the largest improvement is that i hid the battery and electronics. I still have to make custom brackets but got a temporary setup for now. I need to cut off all the old tabs.
