Alright...geez! Champion 4011 are on their way! $0.79 at Rockauto.com!

Really? Champions are for Mopars and lawn mowers. Autolites and Motorcrafts are for Ford. AC Delco for GM, and NGK for everyone else. This my opinion of course so take it however you want, but I have never had good experience with Champion.

They certainly promote them enough on the Powerblock.

Snake oil, or decent for the dough? This would be for my 6cyl Ford truck...

Problems I've read about them start with the fact you can't gap them because you can't get the shim in place with 3 electrodes. Also that the extra electrodes get in the way of the burn as it expands out from the source of ignition.

They are preying on the population that always believes more is better. Hell, some body has one out now with 4 electrodes. Pretty soon some one will probably come out with so many electrodes it won't work at all because the fuel can't get to the spark.

Actually, Popular Mechanics had an article on a pulse ion spark plug, that shot out a piezo-plasma lightning bolt into the cylinder. I think it was to ignite very lean A/F mixtures...

Cool starry bra I know, but there is some LEGITIMATE development going for internal combustion engines...

I usually recommend

Chrysler: Champion

Ford: Motorcraft

GM: AC Delco

Euro: Bosch single electrode

Japan: NGK or higher end Denso.

Even then I don't really get why the brand matters. A spark plug just jumps an electrical arc across a gap. The arc just superheats the air/fuel mix in it's immediate vicinity. The rest of the combustion is just a chain reaction, the initial spark has nothing to do with the full burn. *shrug*

NGK makes ac delco. Used to pull them out of the box and they were stamped around the base metal NGK.
