Engine Re-Build for an 06 GTO

PGH STEELERS

Recommended Posts

We recently went to Watson and Ruppel Machine shop. It was very nice and he does rebuilds and what not. However, I think most people take pulled motors to him. I didn't see any cars, just lots and lots of HP and TQ setting everywhere.

Save it for future ref.

We think a rock got up into the bell housing? I asked the tuner to take the tranny off to see if the motor would make the same noise. When he took the tranny off, the noise went away. However, he put the tranny back on and it made the same noise again. He pulled it out of the shop and backed in back in the noise went away. Still kind of baffled on this noise. I was relieved the motor didn't have a spun bearing, I didn't sleep for about 4 days on this. I post the final results of my build later on.
