looking for pads and rotors for 01 trans am. any suggestions??

Went to Norwalk Wednesday and by the second or third pass my brakes started fading bad on the shutdown. I'd like to upgrade to something that won't fade at the track and still work good on the street.

I found this kit on hawks direct seems pretty cheap. But how good will they be.

Buy the cheapest rotors you can find with a good brake pad. That's what all the road track guys do.

This. Just get some cheap "blank" rotors, don't waste your money on drilled and slotted shit. I have hawk pads on my Camaro and I don't think they're all that great, but they work. If all you're going to do is cruise and drag race I wouldn't spend a lot of money on pads either.

I was always told the opposite. Good rotors with shit pads since you want the pads to wear out faster than the rotor.
