I made reference to the stick only because I knew the '93s and '94s had em...wasn't sure if it was even worth asking whether your '98 has one. Also if its a 4.0 the exhaust leak is likely from the header cracking (common issue if it is cracked you can usually have it welded to fix)the hatch shocks run $50 to replace. Goodluck with the sell.
