WideOpenThrottle
Okay, I am at the point where everything has been fixed metal wise and now am ready to start on the drive train. I have a full pull out from an 03 GT I was wanting to use in the car, but forms have mixed reviews on if it will fit!? Does anyone know for sure if it will fit? Also any ideas for the best power steering setup to use would be great!
DKilbourne
Not sure if it will fit. Possibly need to trim the strut towers......might be alright with the 2V though. I think I would just get a manual rack for it, or a take out piece.
Buckeye1647545503
You have the car and the engine .... get a tape measure
Cordell
Doesn't someone make a front suspension set-up that does away with the front strut towers? Either way it will be tight but I think without the strut towers its a good possibility. I'm with Buckeye go break out your tape measure. LS_Sonoma
I would try stangnet forums and see what you can dig up. I bet this has been done a gazillion times.
WideOpenThrottle
It's been done a lot but some say you can and others call B.S. and say ya have to cut and weld strut tower plates. I have the car here w me in VA but the donor car is in OH; Hence the research! I didn't think there was much of a size difference between 4.6 and 5.0. More research I suppose! OneSlow04GEETEE
4.6 is a decently wider motor than the 5.
TurboNova
dont rely on the internet for something like this unless everyone is doing this swap. Id start measuring if it were me.
