Alex1647545498
So I got this Hi Point 9mm Carbine. I took this as partial trade on something. I'm debating on whether to keep it or not. How much would one of these sell for used?
gillbot
$150? no idea, but google says $225 or so new http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=Hi+Point+9mm+Carbine&hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&hs=hxl&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=rcs&prmd=imvns&psj=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1600&bih=737&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=3858131716893468414&sa=X&ei=ZyzAT7L2KsqMgwevgtDzCQ&ved=0CHAQ8wIwBTigAQ
KillJoy
IMO, this is the only Hi-Point worth owning. I have seen them used from $150 to $250. Obviously, the more Tacticool, and more accessories, the higher the price. KillJoy

His buddy who is supposedly well respected in the gun field did a video write up about it on youtube stating how great the weapon is and why. Alex what did you trade for it? Alex1647545498
Cool, thanks guys. I cleaned it up so it looks better now. I'll probably wait to shoot it before deciding.

Well I was getting rid of that hand gun I showed you and someone at work traded me this plus some ammo for it.

I have what I would call extensive experience shooting the C9 and 380. Just....no. The carbines are what keeps HP alive. You can only get so many suckers to buy bricks that constantly jam for so long. I wish I still had my 995ts Alex. My bet is you fall in love with it once you shoot it. Mark1647545493
They're fun carbines that are cheap to shoot and fairly accurate to 100 yards. If you keep it don't waste your time with the 15 round pro-mag magazines. They are horrible and never work right so stick with the factory mags. If there is ever a problem with it just ship it back to the manufacturer in Mansfield and they will fix it for free (you pay shipping to them), tune it up and usually send it back to you with a free magazine. 87GT
I would buy it for $150 if you are selling it.
Alex1647545498
I have to find time to shoot it first lol.
unfunnyryan
I regret getting rid of mine. Great cheap carbines.
Alex1647545498
And yes I took this thinking it would be cheaper to shoot. 9 is cheaper than 5.56 that's for sure. Hope it works out but if not there's no shortage of people buying firearms... Ever.
BloodRed
These normally sell pretty good no matter if it is the older model or new one. Been looking to pick up one as well.
motozachl
Owned one for over 10years and finally got rid of it couple months ago. Swapping to ATI stock & red dot is a good time

My 9mm from HP has never jammed, and I have thousands of rounds through it. My glock has jammed more than my HP.
thorne
I've considerd getting one of those for a while My 9mm Pistol from Hp has never given me a problem. My dad fired it at the range and was able to do a tight pattern very similar to his service 9mm SW. (My dad was 99% accurate when ever he qualified. He had to throw a bullet un purpose)
gillbot
If you read a lot of the hate comments toward Hi Point, none of the haters have one. If you read the real reviews they say they are fine for what you spend but everyone tries to compare it to higher priced models so of course it may fall short. Every Hi Point owner I know likes them, especially for the price.

gaewsky1
I'll be in line too if you decide to sell it. PM me if 87GT backs out.

Otis Nice
May I ask why? Is it the weight? Weight. Reliability. Design flaws. Personal preference. I LOVED my 995ts but I won't own an HP. I understand others do and even some carry them. Just not for me.
