Rocky31186
My grandpa passed away in 08 due to pancreatic cancer. He had a 20-30 guns. Ranging from hand guns, to shot guns, rifles, muzzleloaders. Well they wanted the guns to be givin to each kid / grandkid.. I ended up getting a muzzleloader and a single shot 12gauge JC higgens. My aunt got these 2 hand guns. And I wanted to know a little about them. (I have spent 30-40 min on google trying to find some info, hoping someone knows what they are and value possibly? ) My grandpa used to carry this one all the time.. http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/8b93f40f.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/6348c75b.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/20a8e15e.jpg This one still works how it should, everything moves smooth. Smith and Wesson 38 special. http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/6cc7cd67.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/db9b2bea.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/07ab0ba9.jpg I have guns myself, but I dont really know history / value on older guns. I will have more info on the muzzle loader / shot gun later. Thanks for any help.
Dammit Charlie
The semiauto isso a 25acp ,nothing crazy special. It is worth $60-120 depending on condition. The 38 revolver I'm not sure, maybe an old police turn in?
Rocky31186
Thanks, figured it wasnt worth much.. The 38, from what I am finding may have been a police gun..
351mach11647545510
model 10?
evil8
The 38 special is worth around 250 assuming full function and a clean barrel. The 38 wasn't just a cop gun as they made millions of them over the years for police, military and the private sector.
Avenger1647545502
The serial number on your Model 10 will be on the bottom of the grip frame...if it starts with a "V" and has a lanyard ring at the back of the grip frame then it's WW2 production, but not necessarily actually a military piece. You can also find the serial and model type on the front frame under the forcing cone...just remove the cylinder and it's stamped on the front of that opening. Pretty sure it'll be either a 10-3 or 10-4. Can't go wrong with a 10, the only weapon with a longer history and better reliability is a rock!
