RedRocket1647545505
As mentioned in another thread, I'm trying to build an outside table for a new grill. I'm wanting to make it out of cedar so it will withstand the elements. I stopped at Lowes and Home Depot, but their selection is crap. Lowes has the sizes I need, but it's only finished on one side and rough cut on the other. The boards have horrible knots in them and chunks missing out of the middle. What I am wanting is some fully finished cedar boards of various sizes. Closed knots are fine, but I do not want gaping holes in them nor do I want edges knocked off. Any idea for some lumbar yards that might carry this? There appear to be a million lumbar yards in central Ohio and I'm not sure where to start. Second Gen
I have about 4 - 5 pieces of cedar from a ceiling. They range from 6 - 10 feet. If you had a plainer you could have these. Let me know (Down in GC area) Dave

unfunnyryan
My dad just got a bunch of very long boards from Linworth Lumber, has been getting wood from there for some time now.
2 Sweet
The biggest issue is finding cedar finished on both sides without knots. You'll have to find someone that can special order it because I doubt any lumber yards will carry it in stock. I think most places will tell you to use composite boards
