twistedfocus1647545489
I just replaced the entire fuel system and got it dyno tuned, but some recent life/occupation changes force the sale. The car is in really good shape for its age. There are some nicks and dings here and there, but overall it’s pretty solid. It has about 148K miles, though the new engine has probably a little under 7k on it. The car made 425 RWHP on a Mustang dyno at 7.5 lbs of boost (93 octane). There’s probably a little more power to be had from more timing, but it has a stock block and ~450hp is safe but getting close to the danger zone. It would likely make 450 on a Dynojet already. Car only weighs around 3000 lbs. Mods (the highlights anyway): - 306 Eagle Sportsman rotating assembly (I-beam rods, forged pistons, stock compression) - Edelbrock 6037 Heads - Edelbrock Performer 5.0 intake - Ford Racing B-303 cam - 1.6 Roller Rockers (Crane, I think) - Powerdyne BD-11, “9lb pulley” (makes ~7.5 on this combo) - Ford Racing 47lb Injectors (EV6) - Walbro 255lph High Pressure Fuel Pump - Anderson Power Pipe (supercharger inlet, mounts MAF in fender) - MSD distributor, 6AL box and JEGS coil - 90mm LMAF (Lightning MAF) - BBK 70mm Throttle Body - BBK Billet Fuel Pressure Regulator - BBK coated long tube headers and H-pipe (off-road) - “Custom” catback (Dynomax Ultra-Flow mufflers, Flowmaster stainless tailpipes) - Ford Racing aluminum radiator - Centerforce Dual Friction clutch - Hurst shifter - 100amp alternator - 3.73 Gears and rebuilt trac-loc. Supposedly has extra clutches. - Centerline Convo-Pro Wheels. 3.5” fronts and 8.5” rear with 295 Mastercraft radials - Pioneer CD player, upgraded speakers and 10” sub w/ amp, if you want it - Cold, working AC. Heat has been bypassed though The “Bad”. Nothing really all that bad, but things I planned to address next. - Stock T5 – it has been rebuilt at some point but the 2nd gear synchro is sketchy at times. Never really bothered me because I planned to upgrade it or replace with a Tremec. Stock T5s aren’t designed for this kind of power. It drives fine, but if you’re going to race it you’ll need to upgrade anyway. Otherwise you could probably fix it very cheaply, or it may not even bother you. - Minor oil leak. I’m still trying to figure out where it’s coming from. I think the PO didn’t silicone where the rear portion of the pan gasket meets the side seals. It’s always slightly damp with oil. - A couple of rust spots. Very small, but since the hood wasn’t matched very well to the rest of the car I’d planned to paint it at some point. I think it looks pretty good still though. There’s also small rust through in the corner of the driver’s footwell (about dime size or less). Typical for these cars. $6500 I have over 8K in it, but I realize it’s an 88 and has some minor issues. I think that’s a pretty fair price. More pics available, but here are a few. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/twistedfocus/DSCF3234.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/twistedfocus/DSCF3235.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/twistedfocus/DSCF3228.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/twistedfocus/DSCF3225.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/twistedfocus/DSCF3240.jpg

Slomo Eric
I always wanted a noch!!! Have you look into it more where the oil could be leaking from? How bad is the 2nd gear? Eric.
mustangman2011
Good luck with the sale. I had the same car color combo back in the day but was Hatchback. Did you convert it to Mass Air?
coltboostin
I see the compressor on it-AC work? Partial trades?
twistedfocus1647545489
AC works great (heat is bypassed, however) No trades. Need less toys. Haven't traced the leak, but I think it's the rear oil pan seal. 2nd gear synchro isn't that bad. Its mainly prevalent on the downshift, but not always. It's mass air swapped for sure - 90mm MAF, A9l ECU, Superchips chip.
twistedfocus1647545489
Here are some vids. Aborted dyno run from a previous tuning session. 388 RWHP: Idle vid, the day I bought it. Still alot of dumb shit on it. Exhaust sounds much better now too: Sorry, no better vids on my YouTube acct right now. Maybe I'll at least take a current idle video tomorrow, though it does it no justice.
