nurkvinny
I am looking at a mid-90's travel trailer tomorrow if the guy is available. It's a 20' lots of the usual options, and GVWR 3200 pounds. This would be my first real camper. What are the top 5 or so questions you would ask or things you would inspect? Also, I assume none of you see any issues with a Hemi Ram or a 5.3 Tahoe pulling this thing?
Snowflake
Check the roof real good and feel for soft wood or wrinkled wallpaper inside. Roll out awning and makes sure it operates correctly. Look for water damage around the tub and stand in it and feel for soft floor under tub. Snowflake
Oh and my 07 f150 with 4.6 and I pull a 4000 lb fifth wheel. Your trucks will have no problem.
caseyctsv
I regularly pull a 29 foot, 6000 pound trailer with my 5.3 l suburban. It is no sweat.
TurboNova
I just bought a 94' 28' trailer I am pulling behind my '10 5.3 z71. It had no problems at all, I do want to add anti sway bars to it. Like said above, just look for weak spots in floor and any signs of water leaking (look around roof vents as well) Make sure the waterpump works for you fresh water storage.
