Roll bar

I stopped by today to see the progress, and I'm amazed at the quality of work and creativeness that Mike came up with as to keep my factory interior intact (speakers, t-top holders, etc).

Hell, my ass can even get in and out with little difficulty. I'm sold :)

If you only want to pass tech and have no concern for your safety, a bolt in is an option. If you value your life have a proper roll bar welded in.

Dude should have just used pvc piping and saved some money. It probably would have worked better :lolguy:

I agree that having it custom fitted by someone that knows their stuff is much better... but if you get a welder that welds the base to a thin piece of sheet metal flooring it can fail too. I know welding creates a stronger connection in general and drilling for the bolts compromises the strength of the floor anyway. I dont want you to think Im disagreeing with you. I just think thats some really really really really bad work done right there.

Thanks for the pics, Jeff.

Mike and Luthor at Mike Ward Racing did amazing work and an awesome job on my cage. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. I asked to keep my speakers and t-top holder, and they worked right around them. It's also welded down at 10-points within the car, and all I really lost was my CD changer and seat belts (although I needed harnesses anyways).

Very big props to them. I'm happy.
