Yeah the FWD did suck (was a tank in the snow though). Was fun as shit to daily drive. I wouldnt own one out of warranty either... hence it being traded in for a Toyota lol

I didnt get too many "gay comments"

i loved my 06 mcs. it was my dd for a year. never had a single problem with it, got great gas mileage. drove it from florida, to ohio to philly to boston and it was comfy for the long haul. they handle fucking great and it really shined in the mountains of west virginia and PA. i just needed something larger so i got rid of it. i wouldnt hesitate to pick one up as a fun dd or toy.

there is a guy up here in powell that had a JCW hardtop that was grey with black stripes and was freakin sweet... then stopped seeing it and now he is a JCW coupe that is all blacked out, lowered, black rims, exhaust etc and is very nice and actually kind of mean looking in the rear view mirror

I will opine that I loved driving the turbo Cooper S. Since then, when I see a nicely modded one, it puts a smile on my face. Fun DD material, but I'd only consider one after about 6-8 years when you might find a low-mile turbo S or JCW for under $10k...

I too miss my '89 Civic Hatchback...there is something simple and really fun about driving a lightweight hatch with go-kart handling.
