brent1976
If I take a transfer case from a 4x4 silverado like mine that is chain or one with clutches can you flip it to the passenger side if you move the pick-up for the pump so it is in the bottom in fluid? 351mach11647545510
based on what I've seen, I see no reason as to why not as long as you move the pickup like you said. Although I dont know about fluid capacity that way. edit... although im not sure if it will line up. the bolt pattern is not symetrical even though it appears to be. I found out when doing my transmission via the gasket
Rocky31186
I don't think the bolt holes will line up. Like Aaron said.
brent1976
I think I have an extra set of gaskets somewhere. I'll have to dig it out and measure the bolt pattern to see what's up. Mine has a spacer in between the tranny/transfer case so maybe 1 is and one isn't.? I'll report back when I find them.
brent1976
The gasket for the transfer case side of the adapter measures out to be the same all the way around. I think I'm going to try it. I might take the pump apart to see if there is anything keeping me from being able to do this before trying it.
