DollFace
Okay all. This is it. I have made up my mind on what I want. 2008 was the only year they did a Gray SV650, and that is what I want. My budget....$5K. And, I want it completely stock everything! So, if you or someone you know is selling a 2008 SV650 Gray....hook me up. That is going to be my next baby, and I am going to take my sweet time to find one!I actually found one in Toledo, but the guy has not emailed me back. He was asking $5800, but I will not offer more than $5K. Brand new they are $5999 with no miles. Anyway, keep a look out for me if you will. Mind mind is set!! LMFAO.Jase knows... my insurance company says otherwise too. I pay "standard" bike rates for the SV1000S. Huge difference in premiums between the SV and the Hayabusa.Dollface, unless you're hellbent on the naked look, get a fairing - it really keeps the wind from beating the crap out of you, and looks sexier than the single light (that's IMO though). jagr
Last ones not ghetto. Its shit you'll end up doing anyways. Def. do the fender eliminator and i really like the integrated tail light that Clear Alternatives makes. i have the CA light.
DollFace
Yeah, but the positioning is different. Are the 2002's anything like 2003 and up cause i sat on a 2002 and didn't like how far I had to bend over. Then I sat on a CBR right after and didn't like that even more. But, I'm pretty sure the ergos of the 2004-up 650s are identical, but different than the 2002 and older models.

Is anyone bringing one to the get together on saturday? SV1000s or SV650S? Maybe I can sit on it (and putt around a little )They're identical. The 1000 is just slightly porkier and has dual exhaust (stock anyway). Dimensionally and ergo-wise they're identical. The SV1000's have better front forks (sourced from the older GSXR 600 - '01's I think) - so the 1000 has fully adjustable forks, but the 650s don't.Another cosmetic note - the 2005-up have black frames, the 2003-2004 have silver frames.Ohh, and then there's that little difference in power. DollFace
Okay, but I still am not sure i need a 1000S. I was referring the the ergonometry. Plus, I can seriously see myself accidently popping a wheelie on a 1000 even if I am truley careful.
