justinwebb
Tonight the Orionid meteor shower peaks from midnight to just before dawn, so if you can run outside and look they were predicting 60 an hour

evan9381
was some bullshit with a prediction of "60 an hour"...sat outside for 2 hours, saw 4. granted, im not out in the country, but i expected more than 4.
SpaceGhost
I saw 1, that's all I needed to see.
Tractor
I was kinda surprised to see you say 60 per hour. Thats typically only predicted for the persieds shower. the orionids isn't a well known shower and most charts put it at <> 20 per hour. It takes 6 per hour to be considered a shower FYI. nurkvinny
Total of about an hour laying out on the back deck out away from any city or local lights. Saw 1.5 (second may have just been my tired eyes). Much disappointment.
