Anyone bought one of these cheap "tactical" 22's?

Tough not to buy this mossberg 22lr AR wannabe for $229.

I know they are 99% plastic, only for looks guns.

But, are they as fun as they seem to be for that price? I already have some high quality 22 rifles. Is this one worth having just for the shits and giggles factor?

I think Good Paul had one.... called it cheap. If you want a fun plinker that is cheap that looks like an AR, sure.

If you want a nice plinker that looks like an AR, get the S&W 15-22.

If you want the BEST semi 22lr plinker made, get a 10/22.

Killjoy - See, that's the thing. I already have a good 10/22, and a very nice Kimber 22...

I'm not looking to improve on those. Just something different to waste a bulk box or 3 through before selling it and moving onto something different again

Mossberg is terrible. Would not even consider.

I'd rather get a dedicated .22 upper made by a good company and just toss it onto whatever lower when I felt like playing with it.

Or I'd get one of the cheap lever action .22's that are in the Vance's ad all the time.

I was going to pick up one of these and decided to pass. It's basically a 702 plinkster in a different wrapper. Google it, you'll get the details and all the reviews you could ever want. Doesn't seem to be bad, but basically WAY overpriced for what it is.

I suggest a Marlin 60 with muzzellite bullpup conversion. Or a Marlin 60 and this.
