It doesnt have to look the best, as long as it is not a piece of swiss cheese. Just needs to run decent and have heat. Minor fixable issues are no problem. Looking to not spend alot.

I've got a '98 V6 Mountaineer 4x4 that needs tires and some suspension work but it runs and drives. It's not completely swiss cheese but it's not the most pleasant experience to drive. I'd take $750, title in hand. Or trade for a little concrete patio..

-Front ball joints and I'm guessing both shocks are shot. Because of this it wore down brand new tires on the inside tread in less than a year.

-Also some linkage where the sway bar connects to on the driver's side is just plain missing at one wheel lol..

-Heat works great but the a/c needs recharged as the compressor clutch doesn't engage. I only used it in Winter for 4 years so never bothered with that.

-The hood struts don't work so I always used locking pliers on them.

-There's also a slow coolant leak somewhere, pretty sure at the thermostat, so a $5 gasket might fix it.

-4x4 doesn't work and I don't know why, I'm guessing transfer case.

-The absolute worst thing about it is there is no cd player, just a radio/cassette.

 

Long list of little things that make it sound like swiss cheese, I know. I planned on getting it fixed up and selling for more but never found the time, but for $750 it's not a bad. Won't hurt my feelings if she looks elsewhere lol.

I got a neighbor that might sell me one for scrap value. If its junk ill get ahold of you. This might work. She just needs it to get through this winter.
