thorne
I was just curious if anyone is into home automation, I've been looking into X10 gear to control some lights initially at my house.
2highpsi
Yeh. I have the Honeywell Tuxedo Touch with Zwave controller. I feel like I am too early to the party, as the iphone app sucks. I am half tempted to make my own system/program/coding
XChris1632X
Be careful, I have some x10 security stuff at our business and some of it is cheesy and seems to be made by playschool in the early 90's.
spankis
Building automation is what I do for a living, mainly hvac, lighting, energy conservation though. We don't offer a residential product, but I work with a number of guys who've installed our commercial equipment in their homes. I'm into it - for Johnson Controls. iwishiwascool
Mike C can probably get you Contol 4 gear if you want to get realer about it. If you want to get really real he can probably get AMX too. If I were to go the cheap route I'd wait a year when I'm quite sure inexpensive yet reliable automation via mobile devices will be a reality.
