DaddyBuiltRacing
Me and the wife are going to Cali in May for a week and are looking for some ideas. There really is so much to see/do out there, we have compiled a list but don't want to over look anything. I know for sure we are going to spend a day in the Anaheim area and really want to check out Alcatrez (San Fran area). What other things should we look into doing/seeing while out there. We will have a rental car so driving really isn't that big of an issue.
TTQ B4U
Head north to Fern Canyon, Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. If you've seen Jurassic Park II you'll recognize some of the filming areas. Very cool. Literally too. Especially in May.

DaddyBuiltRacing
I will look these places up on google lol. I have heard you can no longer drive you car through the giant trees out there? However I was watching California videos on youtube and they showed cars driving through them. Alcatrez looks awesome and isn't that expensive, $28 a person
SPL_Josh
Went 1to year ago. Went to the mountains up near Tahoe, then all the way down to San Diego. Was a good time. Hollywood was different.
DaddyBuiltRacing
I wanna see Yosimite and San Fran. Outside of that I am pretty much open to anything. Death Valley even intrigues me but its a little out of the way, so might have to be something we see the next time we go out there
CRed05
You can just drive down the PCH and stop at places along the way. San Diego is awesome, LA has some cool places to check out, there's Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach, The Promonade, Malibu, Rodeo Drive... I'll be in San Fran in March, never been there before, planning to check out Alcatraz. Also...

boosted98gst
Im california native and anything on highway 1 is worth your time, every small beach town has its own culture/beer/wine/food. Alcatrez is super cool, and in May the "inmate garden" will be in bloom , same flowers are still coming up from the last people on the island (lots of awesome pictures). LA/ SF/SD are all cool citys and have tons to offer, but just remember TRAFFIC..... you will be coming during the tourest season and it gets nuts. SD county is where its at!!! If you want to stay away from the LA madness in Socal check out San diego , everyone from LA invades our city to get away from that place lol San diego wild animal park San diego zoo USS midway balboa park Sea world All the old spanish missions all over the county Best beachs in Socal Whale watching Fishing all the wine places Brewerys Casinos The desert offroading/ sand dunes Torrey pines Sd aquariums Hottest women in the world Highway 1 Gangstas Gas lamp district
DaddyBuiltRacing
Thanks for all the input, I think we are going to stick to northen Cali this trip. San Fran looks like it has a ton to offer, I think we are gonna catch a Giants game while we're there (might as well). Yosimite and Lake Tahoe look awesome, we are really into outdoors and site seeing.
