Bad

-Has a miss at idle

-ODO stopped working at 186,XXX miles...do not know how many have been on there since then

-Rear pass window doesnt go down

-Tranny wont shift until the engine is warmed up. You can manully shift 1,2,3,D but unless the motor/tranny is warm it will not shift out of first on its own.

-Driver seat bottom has some tears and it covered by same color tape as the seats.

-Few little rust spots but nothing bad

Picked the car up this morning from replacing a bushing and seal in the tranny ($940 tab) and do not feel like putting anything else into it if something else were to go wrong/bad. I dont have the time to be messing with it with planning a wedding and etc. I just would like it gone and for someone else to have it who has the time and motivation towards it.

I have driven then up from Lexington (I live near Dayton, Oh), to Lousiville and back, to Cincy and back and have driven it everyday since it is my DD.

Like I said, the car still runs and drives fine with the exception of those flaws. Heat works, cruise works, etc....

$1,500 or trade for a RWD e30 sedan

Located in Dayton, Oh area....937-477-7510. Name is Bryan

Here is how it looks as of right now.

Quick question. Knowing that there was issues with the shifting in the tranny until its warmed up, Why didn't you just purchase a used tranny that works fine instead of spending $940 to replace a bushing and seal and still end up with a busted tranny that has shifting issues?

Spending the $940 had nothing to do with the shifting problem. Friday before xmas the tranny spilled its guts out at my work. Took it to the shop where they discovered that a bushing had come loose or worn out or whatever and cut the main seal which led to leaking all the tranny fluid out. The $940 was for fixing the bushing and seal....plus since its a BMW....shit aint cheap

But i do see where youre coming from....prob would of been cheaper just to buy a used good tranny

The rear Passenger window is probably one of the window switches. They're about 5 dollars a piece online. Just pop out the switch by the shifter and replace it. It's plug out plug in.

The ODO might have something to do with wiring or sensor or something getting wet. This seems to be a common problem. My 88i ODO would start and stop when there was heavy rain. I never replaced it but I would assume it's a quick fix as well. Water damage is probably the culprit of that.

GLWS. I wish this was 5 spd.

Ive researched the ODO many times and all the answers I get keep goin back to the little plastic gears in the speed housing. There is one that goes bad for some reason. Company makes them and they are $15 for ALL the gears....i just keep holdin off from buying them for some reason...laziness i guess.

Window switch i will def look into!
