mrs.cos
So Sam came out and quoted a parking pad for us. We are getting close to having this done and I need to know if city of columbus requires permits for Parkin pads attached to the current driveway. Ill make calls tomorrow but figured if anyone had info now, it would be handy
ForeverMaker
I know all about this. Yes you need one. Depends on who reviews it but there is a chance they wont let you extend your driveway to a total of more than 20' wide.
mrs.cos
I only need 10' on the side of my garage and a pull off of the main drive to get to the pad. So size shouldn't be an issue Who do I contact?
BigOxley
i got one a couple of years ago in GV. no permit. the concrete guy said i didn't need one. not sure i believe him, but zoning has been to my house since for sidewalk violations and it wasn't an issue. Akula
You have to have a permit any time you are going to violate your setbacks.

So size shouldn't be an issue Who do I contact? I was forced to reduce my TOTAL width (pad + driveway) to 20' by the City of Columbus. You will need to submit plans to the city (to scale) and/or go in front of the building/zoning board to present them. Do not do it without a permit. Trust me. http://bzs.columbus.gov/
