Never been drilled for front plate, have the OEM front plate holder in trunk if desired

Background: Car has had rubber mats down the whole time during both our ownership and the owner before us (retired pilot out of Atlanta), carpets are perfect. Great condition overall. I've run it at a couple of the track rentals, runs mid 12's completely heat soaked.

Good: I have brand new front rotors and brand new pads all the way around to be installed before purchase. Car gets oil changes ever 5k with Amsoil. oil was JUST changed at 61k miles and is fresh.

Bad: Stock wheels are chrome, were pitted when I got them and continue to pit even worse. They are only used as winter wheels currently. Brand new all season rears on them, couple season old snows on the front

I have a set of Forgestar 20" F10 wheels that will go with the car. 20x 9, 20 x 10.5 running 245 / 285 rubber. The wheels are amazing looking but are cracked and in need of repair. I honestly would not put them back on the car. I believe the load rating on the wheels is not high enough causing them to crack. I am not planning on putting them back on this spring if I kept the car I was going to get another set of summer wheels / tires.

$23,500

Have you had anyone attempt to repair the Forgestars? IMO the car looks much better with the bigger wheels. I doubt that the cracks have anything to do with load rating - probably more to do with the lack of sidewall.

Yes...a vendor "fixed" the first one that cracked and made a huge mess out of it. It has cracked again. The cracking is happening on the inner barrels. Could be from the lack of sidewall but they are cast wheels that are extremely light (for a cast wheel) on a very heavy car. The cracking is minor but it's concerning. Many others are running these sizes on either heavier cast wheels or forged wheels without issue. The wheels have maybe 8k miles on them but because we drive it so little the wheels are old enough that Forgestar will not work with me on the issue.

None of them are cracked bad enough to loose air. The 20's are close to needing new rubber. I thought about trying to run one aspect ratio up to see if it solves the problem.

No doubt the stock wheels leave alot to be desired...esp in chrome.

Talked to the wife, she doesn't want it because she is scared of the cost of fixing it if it were to brake down. I tried Andy. So her car quest continues.

The E55 is very reliable car. It does eat up a lot of gas and rear tires thought. I bet you if you go test drive it you'll buy it.
