HotCarl
FINALLY booked my first Vegas vacation for April 9-13 for my sister's wedding (classy huh?) I cant fucking wait. Any tips/advice on what to see or do first? I've got about 2k$ spending cash for 4 days, not baller but I think i should be ok. Against my suggestion me and a buddy are staying at the Mirage (I thought it was a bit expensive consider the other options).
TurboNova
do you gamble much or play any games? Most of the casinos have lessons around 11am so you can learn games like roulette or craps...etc. If you are walking the strip its worth getting a 24hr "deuce" pass which is the double decker bus its around 10 bucks I think and well worth it. 2k for 4 days will serve you well if you dont lose it in the first day
HotCarl
I play blackjack, a bit of poker but im hardly a pro. HATE slots. Always wanted to learn craps though, i played once but i was lost the entire time.
Supplicium
Have dinner at Voodoo Lounge @ Rio. Its the only thing ill go off the strip for. The view ontop, on a first trip is legendary. I always have fun playing BJ at the Hard Rock and NYNY. I would go around and check out as many properties as possible.
Diamonds
2 Must-do's: find someone who is a member of the foundation room (universal membership across the US) and get into the Foundation room atop Mandalay Bay. ALSO, you MUST go to the ghost bar. You can buy a pass that gets you into the Ghost bar, Rain, Moon, and playboy club for 50-60 bucks whereas each cover is 35.00 per club(All within the Palms). The ghost bar has a rooftop bar that overlooks the entire city. The women are unreal...

Check out the buffet in Caesars palace called the Bacchanal. It cost $11 million to build and is amazing. For a good steak and unique dinning experience, go to "She by Morton's". It's by the cosmopolitan shops. Old Vegas is fun too at night. Go to Fremont street and check out Golden Nugget. They renovated the entire place and its cheap to gamble. Dr. Pomade
Here's my write up on my experiences from Vegas from one trip, which included a visit to the Ghost Bar. Caveat: this is from 2006, so we're talking a while back. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26844&highlight=drift+king
airwg2189
LOVE at Mirage, it's a Beatles-themed Cirque du Soleil. Well worth the cost.
ForeverMaker
Play table games during the day when minimums are lower. Also less people and more laid-back. One of my favorite things to do is hit the tables at like 10am. Just a nice vibe that I can't explain.
Dr. Pomade
BTW, I've been to the Mirage. It's fine - and has pretty much all you'd want, realistically. All the casinos on the strip do, really. Sure, some are newer, fancier, etc., but when it comes down to it they all have basically the same stuff.

And there's something just incredibly sinful about having a really nice alcohol buzz at 10am (or like some weird time when you're not supposed to be drinking). Some people call that alcoholism. I call it a vacation.
Supplicium
Nothing like 8am after a 2-3day bender, sitting at a BJ table watching guests check in while out of your mind drinking tequila in the mornin

Sure you get some cool views and some bitches but I would hardly say its the place to be and a must do. Hit up Tao , hit up the clubs in the Cosmo drawing a blank on it. Those are must do's for clubs currently.
Lauren
Also if you are going to attend a strip club talk to a cabbie and have him take you to a club that he gets a kick back. You can talk them I to paying you to go there and get free cover and a few free drinks as well. I think my buddy and I got something like 50 cash, free cover and three free drinks to go to scores last time I was in Vegas. Stay away from sprint mint rhino. It's a tourist trap. OG can be fun am its on the strip. Get a Asian massage with happy ending its relaxing. Just make sure you don't barter less then your friend otherwise you might be running down Las Vegas blvd with your pants around your ankles lol. Not that I would know.... AudiOn19s
hit up the clubs in the Cosmo drawing a blank on it. Marquee. Absolutely worth it. We just got back a few weeks ago and stayed at Cosmo because I knew I was going to spend most of my time and money at Marquee. Their day club looks awesome too but wasn't open a few weeks ago and won't likely be open in April either.

TimTaylor751647545500
Bobby Flay's MESA grill is a MUST - http://www.mesagrill.com/las-vegas-restaurant/. Make a reservation ASAP. I go there every time when I'm in Vegas. Also, pick up a Earl of Sandwich for a quick bite at Planet Hollywood. Great breakfast & lunch sandwiches - http://www.earlofsandwichusa.com/

944s2
LOVE at Mirage, it's a Beatles-themed Cirque du Soleil. Well worth the cost. +1 just go 2 sections back so you can see it all (round stage) and the seats should be around $
