professional products balances are a cheap alternative and have a 3 bolt face for a puller as well.

mines not pinned and I also run a mandrel on the front to run my belt drive fuel pump.

Mine isn't pinned either, it just seems to be more common then the balancer coming apart. I have seen them come apart though so it's not a bad idea to get a decent one. I have an SLP underdrive balancer that is sfi rated on the Camaro with no issues.

I had the SLP one as well, never an issue.

I have a like new ATI balancer.. Has 0 miles on it.. Came with the motor I bought but wouldn't clear my steering rack so I had to pull the engine and swap it out with the power bond. Lmk of you want it.. I'll sell it 1/4 less than you will find anywhere else

normally when those balancers come off it's because they weren't torqued down properly or people trying to reuse the stock bolt. Unless your supercharged I wouldn't worry about pinning it.....just torque it down correctly with a new bolt.
