wnaplay1647545503
I have the engine code for my chevy motor and another set of numbers found on the drivers side on the block literally on the side. I forgot to get the casting numbers when I was there. Can anyone decode any of these numbers and save me a trip. Engine code V04I2WA Numbers on side 94485777N
Browning
sure the I isn't a 1? Cause I am thinking Flint, April 12, and then the WA is mid to late 60's
Browning
yea the WA could be a 65 283 with 175hp, 68 307 with 200hp or a 69 350 with 255hp. Either way it's saying it's a truck engine on here http://www.nastyz28.com/gm-chevy-codes/chevy-engine-codes-suffix-10.php
wnaplay1647545503
I am thinking its a 1 not an I. I came across that site as well. I cant tell which of the 3 sizes this actually is. It has a quadrajet 4brl carb and the 307 came with the 2brl but this has an aluminum intake and later model distributor so its hard to tell if these were added to the smaller motors or if this is in fact the 350. I was told by former owner they thought it was a 327 but its not looking like it.
