unfunnyryan
What part of town did you snap these in? I had never seen most of these besides the woodpecker until my parents moved by a golf course.

The Osprey from the other thread is the only one you will probably only see at Alum or Hoover (Both in Galena/Delaware). Jeff

Pretty cool little birds
TTQ B4U
Looks like you're having a good time with the lens. Look into a Better Beemer too. Toss some fill flash into the mix will add a nice spark the eyes and brighten up shadows. Overall colors will pop a bit more and you'll have a bit more control over white balance. ImUrOBGYN
For sure. Balancing out your white contrast with your color tubes... I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about. Nice pics, man. Here's is something I can add that's useful. The names of the listed birds in the order they appear in this thread: 1st Post Red-bellied Woodpecker Red-winged Blackbird House Finch White-breasted Nuthatch Tufted Titmouse 2nd Post Black-capped Chickadee Mourning Dove Eastern Bluebird Edited April 6, 2013 by ImUrOBGYN Updated

The first two were the only ones taken on a very over-cast day but the others were in direct sunlight. I have looked at the BB but I am on the fence. Most of the time I am not getting very close to whatever it is so not sure how effective it would be. I never use a tripod so the less to carry around the better Jeff
Tractor
Those are some very cool photos. I decided to take a different bridge across big walnut on the way home tonight with my Daughters and ended up kicking myself for not having a real camera handy. Sitting on the rocks was a pair of Male and Female Mallard Ducks. I think I interrupted them;-)

Definitely about to be used with at least a 200mm lens.

Most have a flash in them. However, key is to never be able to notice or tell one was used Just be careful that you cover it or remove it as a nice sunny day and some carelessness will cause it to melt your flash. Think large magnifying glass.
