By the time I got the truck stopped to go check it out I couldn't find it.....biggest I've seen though by far.

xlr8tn
Kill it with fire.. lots and lots of fire!! they're a pretty beneficial snake to have around really. I get it....I hate snakes and always have since I was a kid. I grew up in the far southeast corner of Missouri. Every damn snake you run into down there will either kill you or make you sick. Ohio is lucky in that almost all the snakes up here are non-poisonous. Still though....I understand the kill it first mentality. These guys eat the shit out of rodents though so they're good to have around.
ImUrOBGYN
Ding, ding, ding! You are correct, sir. Black Ratsnake, Eastern Ratsnake, whatever. Same thing. It's y'alls largest snake AND one of the most beneficial animals in the state. Especially one that depends quit a bit farmland. They are very helpful in controlling, you guessed it, rats (and various other rodents, of course.)

I got a 7ft black snake that lives around my house. First met him when he was 3ft long. The last snakeskin of his that I found last year was over 7ft considering I'm 6' and it was well over a foot above my head. Def a big fella.
