V8 Beast Posted April 27, 2013 Report Share Posted April 27, 2013 Met some fine people today. Thanks for all of your help. I swear CR has some of the most giving, nicest people on the planet. They give you snow brushes for free and even offer their dent services The U-Haul guy did look it over and found a problem with the part thats suppose to lock onto the ball joint. He put it on one of the trucks and it popper off of that too (Glad the drive home was at a snails pace). Based on that he said there isn't any reason they shouldnt cover the damage. The claims specialist will be following up with me. It looked worse than it actually was. All of the parts are good minus the plastic trim around plate, the glass, and the dent that caused the glass to shatter. I'm guessing about $300 to repair. Glad that uhaul sees the issue here and is willing to admit to it! What sucks about it the most if you had a possibly buyer lined up earlier this afternoon ... I guess you could of sold it as Cr modified as is I guess haha When I heard about this incident I kept my distance.
