Sonnen has said multiple times if he's not fighting to be the champ then he shouldn't be fighting. He's a proven wrestler. He never backs down from a chance at the title. Dude has cajones. He's also a great entertainer. agreed. He said something along the lines of, "If you're not fighting to be the champ then there is no point in it. I believe this was my last chance so we'll see what happens from here.
