Franchi
/\/\ That's what Im waiting on. To see what the Shelby looks/performs like and if any other edition Stangs to be released. I got a few years to save up anyhow for one. :-)
Mallard
They said they will drop the Shelby name on the next Cobra.
BigOxley
Engine lineup appears to be V6 as the entry level for cost, the Ecoboost from the ST, and the GT 5.0 for now. The 2.5 is expected to be about 250hp, the V6 may go up a bit to 310 or so and the V8 possibly as high as 475. The 5.0 is already setup for direct injection so it may finally be added. I'm sure Shelby will have a version in a couple years and I'm hopeful for another Mach 1. yuck, 250hp in a new stang?
Franchi
They said they will drop the Shelby name on the next Cobra. Yeah I've heard that too but wait to see what actually happens. Lots of reports of lots of things, most prob aren't true. I got time
ImUrOBGYN
yuck, 250hp in a new stang? ? How many of those boat anchor v6's they sell back in the day?
Dr. Apex
^Agreed, Ford ha no problem selling lots of 4.0 200hp terds. A 2.5turbo making 250hp in stock form with lots of mod potential I think will be appealing to some. Was just reading Road and Track has reported from a Ford insider that the "Cobra" moniker will be back in lieu of the Shelby for now and they're hinting at an n/a setup as mentioned. Dr. Apex
Good sound clip of it, doesn't sound too much different but a bit throatier which means little. Anyone notice the 3rd taillight in the top of the rear window?? Hatchback maybe??
