It was intended for my mother-in-law who used it for awhile and has now turned into just an extra car. It's nice to have around as a spare but we're without a house currently and too many cars makes for storage issues. This car has been maintained by me the entire two years we've owned it not my useless mother-in-law '02 Jetta 1.8T GLS Red / Black cloth 139k miles Automatic Tiptronic transmission Black cloth heated seats heated mirrors cold ac/ hot heat cruise control Monsoon stereo with cd/cassette Monster / rubber floor mats Moon Roof Power mirrors Power windows Power Locks Service History Dan did the Timing belt service on the car when we bought it from him at 119k, should not be due for a timing belt until the 200k mark. Service Items in the last 12 months Brand new Goodyear tires New euro mirror glass in the side mirrors Swapped all 9 valve body solenoids in the tranny along with fresh fluid New front control arms on both sides Oil changes ever 5k miles with Mobil1 0w40 Dan did the Timing belt service on the car when we bought it from him at 119k, should not be due for a timing belt until the 200k mark. Good: Car is mechanically sound. Just drove it to Pittsburgh for a week and then Cleveland for a week for training. Should provide many more years of service if maintained. My A4 with 1.8T has 220k miles and climbing. On my trips last week the car got 29 - 31mpg depending on speed of travel. Bad: Exterior blemishes on bumpers. At light throttle when warm the car shifts harder than normal on the 2-3 shift. It's done this since we got it which is why I did all the valve body solenoids and tranny service. At anything above 1/2 throttle it shifts perfectly normal.
