Chadz89GTA
Anal is gross any way you cut it. Maybe the guys who want anal with their gfs/wives are closet gays? I don't see how this would be true since da butt sex is wild and it don't cause no child!
BigOxley
This guy is smart enough to know how to dodge an interviewer's question. It's not like he hasn't been on the talk show circuit for the last 2 years. He saw an opportunity (outside of of his own show) to call out homosexuality as being wrong and sinful and he took it. He knew what was coming.
cstmg8
Wasn't he leaving the show anyway? Although I'm usually quick to jump on the "free speech" bandwagon, I agree that this is probably more of a contract breach with A&E than a constitutional issue. He knew what was coming, and if he was prepared for it, props to him for speaking his mind, regardless of his opinions.

greg1647545532
Man, this guy is a piece of work. Don't believe in Jesus? You're basically a murderer. All you have to do is look at any society where there is no Jesus. I’ll give you four: Nazis, no Jesus. Look at their record. Uh, Shintos? They started this thing in Pearl Harbor. Any Jesus among them? None. Communists? None. Islamists? Zero. That’s 80 years of ideologies that have popped up where no Jesus was allowed among those four groups. Just look at the records as far as murder goes among those four groups. You know what, Phil? I'm an atheist, but I never beat the fuck out of somebody so bad that I had to empty my life savings to avoid jail and then flee to another state, and then refused to apologize for it because I'd found religion. During Phil’s darkest days, in the early 1970s, he had to flee the state of Arkansas after he badly beat up a bar owner and the guy’s wife. Kay Robertson persuaded the bar owner not to press charges in exchange for most of the Robertsons’ life savings. (“A hefty price,” he notes in his memoir.) I ask Phil if he ever repented for that, as he wants America to repent—if he ever tracked down the bar owner and his wife to apologize for the assault. He shakes his head. “I didn’t dredge anything back up. I just put it behind me.” As far as Phil is concerned, he was literally born again. Old Phil—the guy with the booze and the pills—died a long time ago, and New Phil sees no need to apologize for him: “We never, ever judge someone on who’s going to heaven, hell. That’s the Almighty’s job. We just love ’em, give ’em the good news about Jesus—whether they’re homosexuals, drunks, terrorists. We let God sort ’em out later, you see what I’m saying?”

sol740
Many religious folks are quick to point out other people's sins while covering their ears and eyes to their own transgressions, past, or present. I pointed out the eating of shellfish in Leviticus, somewhat facetiously, however I bet that asshole had sex before he was married, (ya know, like 90% of all normal people), maybe even LIVED IN SIN. It's never about the shit they've done, because you don't get to point fingers and have a pompous attitude of superiority like that. How many here in this thread lived with a GF? Had multiple partners possibly? Did you jerk off to pornography sometime recently? Lie to a friend about some tiny insignificant detail in a story to make it more interesting? You filthy fucking heathens.

PsychoticGaming
No, I don't agree with people that choose to use god as a crutch to throw gay people under the bus. People want to be homophobic, that's great, be what you want, but don't push that on me. Same can go for the gays, thats great you like to be gay, i'm not gay, and i'm not shocked nor do I care if you are. Freedom is great, but some people take it to far and in bad taste. Im not commenting to you completely directly but partially in general. He did not take it too far, he voiced his opinion just like you are now. Its freedom of speach, whether someone likes it or not, it doesn't matter. Whos pushing it on you? Not phil. Why do people feel the need to pride around that they are gay? Gee wonder why people are bothered by it, people purposefully making a big deal that they're gay, its like the IOS7 you just installed, no one cares, you're not special. This whole problem is about Freedom of speech not what he said, its not a debate of who right or wrong, its voicing ones opinion and agreeing to disagree. Move on with life, hell let the show run, if your offended by someones opinion thats your own problem because to think that they couldn't be by your opposite opinion would be pretty conceited. It's been thoroughly established that this has nothing to do with freedom of speech. The government didn't punish him for his speech. I suggest reading the thread. If the government of the U.S.A were to shutdown A&E because of statements made by some hick I would probably hate if I met in person, I would be the first to rail against that in all of it's unconstitutional bullfuckery. As is, a TV channel with corporate relations to tend to saw fit to distance themselves from perceived intolerant speech. Let's hope he doesn't beat someone and their wife half to death over it. Lastly, popularity of speech, and consequence of speech are not part of freedom of speech. Back when the gay-pride movement started, I promise, it was pretty fucking unpopular. Same with almost all civil rights movements.

El Karacho1647545492
Bottom line, in America you have the right to be wrong and no one's going to stop you. You want drive your D the wrong way through an exit only hole? Go right ahead as long as the traffic controller gives you a free pass, doesn't matter if it's a he or she or something with both that wants to wear a furry suit and be called "Xenu". Others can think I'm living in sin by living with my gf, but as long as no one's trying to make a law against it I don't care.
