Chris,

Do you have another key for this vehicle to copy?

You can minimize costs some by putting the components together separately and only needing the local dealer to program it. I source all of my big parts purchases through Suncoast Porsche because they have the best pricing around. I have an account at byers for parts and get a pretty decent break on stuff but often times on big ticket items Suncoast is still better.

Blank Key Blade is about $40

Remote head about $160

Any key shop should be able to cut the blade to match an existing if you've got the existing to duplicate for about $20-30

Need the PIWIS factory tool to program the key, I'm not sure I know of anyone in town who's ponied up the money for the factory tool. Expect to pay the standard 1 hour minimum to program the key. $100-ish

But...if there are no other keys for the vehicle and you need the dealer to also cut the key based on the VIN you're in their hands for the whole process.
