I used to be active on the forum years ago. I left for college and now three years after graduating, I'm ready to get back into the car scene full fledged.

 

My name is Ray and you may recognize the cars since I've been going to the CR meets/informal car meets since they were located at Kroger at Broad Street years ago.

 

1998 Mustang GT Convertible, 4.6L (Standard, 5 speed)

Mods:

BBK Headers, BBK X-Pipe, Flows, 4.10's, Full Front Tubular Susp, Etc.

Wanted Mods:

On3 Single Turbo Kit & PI Swap (Gearing Change).

Goal is to be in the high 11's in the 1/4

 

1986 Mustang GT Convertible 5.0 Carb (Automatic, 3 speed)

X Cam, Aftermarket Heads, etc.

Wanted Mods:

First, to return to the driving condition of when this picture was taken in 2008 (Needs Major TLC at the moment). Standard Transmission swap (haven't decided what to go with yet).

Goal is to be able to drive this whenever and wherever.

Livernois Dyno Tune & Other Ascetic Mods.

Wanted Mods:

Lowering Springs (Within the Next Month), Intake, Full 3" Turbo back Exhaust. Upgrading to a larger turbo after the on3 kit is on the 1998 Mustang.

Goal is to be in the high 12's in the 1/4.

Wow, E Broad Kroger. It's been a loooooooong time.

 

Edit: Is turbocharging a PI swapped car a good idea? There's usually a compression bump when installing PI heads on a non-pi block. I suppose with a good tune and good fuel it may be safe enough...

That's why I'm here...To find out if it is or not a good idea.

 

I know that it can be done, but yes a good tuner is always needed. Luckily this site has a couple tuners that sponsor the site, that I trust my vehicles with.

 

If anything else, I'd be changing out the intake since it's plastic (Non-Pi = Garbage).

 

Plan is to run the car hard and whatever happens, happens. Then have a 4V build going in and then go from there.
