I think +/- 300ish would be the ideal number for a car in that class, but something capable of 400 with some work for sure, which I think the FA20 could handle.

 

I wonder if Toyota and Subaru will go separate ways with the evolution of the cars now.. It seems that way so far..

 

But I could see Subaru releasing a 268ish HP version in the near future, since they are already producing that engine for 2 other vehicles

 

It would surprise me if Toyota put much over 300hp in its first FI 86.. 400 seems extremely unlikely

Would asking for it to be quicker than a Camry V6/Rav4 V6 be too much?

 

+1 I would say making it faster than the Sienna would be a good benchmark.

 

The RAV4 4x4 V6 is faster than the Camry, Sienna... and the FRS. :p

Subaru releases a turbo version, Scion releases a convertible.

 

Check this post in 1 year.

 

 

Word on the street is Subaru is fighting the convertible due to the weight increase and different driving characteristics. I'm pretty sure Fuji is the manufacturer for both cars.
