Buck531
Wondering if anyone would loan me a valve spring compressor for changing the springs on the car. Would only need it for a day. Not sure when either. Sometime in the near future.
MrMeanGreen
Changing while on the car? I have one, I'm not sure if it can do it on the car or not.

Geeesammy
Autozone rents some, just put a deposit on it and you have 90 days to return it. Figured I'd throw it out there.
Cordell
The only one I have for on the car is for LS1 heads. There are a couple cheaper universal types that are only around $20-30, just go down to the auto parts store.
gillbot
Will an ls1 style work? If so I can mail you a cheap one I made if I can find it. No need to return it, you can keep it. Or I can get you the drawing and if you have a grinder you can make one yourself in a few minutes.

Dharris89
Would this work? I used it when we changed the valve spring seals on my firebird. We did it with the heads on and pumped air into the motor to hold the valves up. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/tool_zpsd8b4a798.jpg

Buck531
How would that bar one work? Im assuming put it on the spring and tighten down the bolt? Im used to seeing the ones that clamp on the sides of the spring but the last one we used like that broke and it was a pos. Going to put on 90# ls6 springs chavo. Benner
The bar one iirc is a simple handle on the long end. Just snug the bolt and use it as a pry tool. Don't quote me at that though.
Dharris89
When we used it, we pressurized each cylinder and used it to compress the spring so we could replace the seals. This compressed the spring so we could take the rocker arm off. I'm not sure it will work but if you want to borrow it or see it let me know. It was used once a few years ago so my memory is a little foggy.
