JuicedH22
So, I had an awesome weekend at the MMC this year. Friday at Putnam park was cold, but dry. I ran in the Novice class, thinking I would be the slower guy and in the way.. Ended up the opposite. I was by far the fastest guy in the class, with another RAFT build 5th gen Camaro being the closest competition 2 seconds behin me, the rest several more seconds slower. I would have been the 2nd fastest in the intermediate class, and about middle of the pack in Advanced. Worst part of being in the novice class was only getting 1 MAYBE 2 clean laps in per session as I kept getting held up in traffic. Though the clean laps was enough to also win the Top Speed Challenge for the day. (They had a speed gun 3/4 of the way down the front straight, watching for fastest MPH) Saturday was the autocross, which was held on the concrete Tarmac at Terra Haute airport. I started out well in the morning, in 5th place in the 1981 and newer class, but fell back in the afternoon to miss out on the top 10 to go into the shoot out. Still had a blast. The funniest part was spinning out 180 degrees right before the finish line... So what did I do? Threw it in reverse while still rolling and finished hard on the gas in reverses. The crowd ate it up, lol. On to a few pics taken of my car... http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/d03a2da7e06083435ce4592d1b11f561_zpsefe0863a.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/d48f7d5908465191103f32aec19cfcdf_zps8b8d94d8.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/117f69d26f3d14612d709acb5b94c13f_zps0a7bf5ed.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/19808b08d78a30aa5144743a3506c484_zpsac4d7bff.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/58e7be3c742d91846e7a88225d669cbf_zpsd923f96b.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/22c6d7dcc8daa4db7895fe71b38bad44_zps4fc5fc7c.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/b1a60c9d74ac03dd0cdbeebda6d03fdc_zpsf0076866.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/6b4e66c2beed0521336ce1fa0504bdae_zps50c93f6b.jpg
Green Bastard
Nice job. Did you fix the vette or is that a different one?

AudiOn19s
Congrats!!! What was your lap time?
JuicedH22
I fixed the corvette. Yes, Danny was there. Drove his autox c5z AND the Lingenfelter camaro. He won the advanced class road course (top two spots with both cars), he won the 1981 and newer autox (FTD in his c5z, was 2nd in the l28 until 2 other cars passed it.) and was the overall MMC winner... He pretty much dominated all weekend, lol. My lap time was pretty damn slow thanks to traffic, only managed a 1:23, but was enough to bring home the proverbial bacon. AudiOn19s
Respectable given time away from the saddle and traffic.

AudiOn19s
Not enough props in this post. It's one thing to build a car that can go fast for short periods of time, it's another to build a car then go beat on it for 20+ minute sessions at the track all day, plow it around some cones in a parking lot and still drive the thing home. Kudos Sir.

Kudos Sir. thanks bud! yea, to say I am happy with the build so far is an understatement. And I do give myself a bit of a pat on the back for being able to drive my car 2-3+ hours to these "street car" events and then drive home. I love the fact that I really can say I have a great "street car", hopefully I can showcase that in the OUSCA events. Though, conflicting with that, i think I will trailer my car for those 7+ hour trips... I would hate if something 'were' to happen, then be stuck with a hefty bill to get my car back home. I drive the GT3 to places within 3 hours (mid ohio, Putnam, Nelson) anything further I will tow. Not worth the risk for me beyond 3 hrs.
