WTB: Good Optispark

I know the term good and optispark should not be in the same sentence. But looking for either a new or good used one.

Can get online for 55 dollars shipped but figured I would see if anyone has one laying around they wanna part with first.

Be cautious about buying cheap Optis online. My experience with them is that they don't last worth a fuck.

Appreciate the heads up.

I am using in a completely stock setup. No mods and no future mods ever planned. Would that make a difference ?

What year LT1? There were two different Optispark models.

I have the factory Opti from my '95 Corvette, swapped it out for a cheap aftermarket one when I started getting knock issues years ago, but it was a totally different issue. I'd need to find mine, but it should be good....

I think they switched in 95 from the non-vented to the vented units. The length of the dowel pin on the cam changed as well.

Spend some money and get a good one from a reputable seller. There are a lot of shit parts out there, it's way to much work not to do it right the first time.
