For TI it's all about staging and lining up at the agreed speed before hitting the traps. Some try to anticipate the light and get the jump (Eddie Bellow was the King of this). Since all the UGR cars are so close, pretty much whoever gets the jump wins. Bob saw that he miss timed the start and knowing that he would have false started just gave up like a true sportsman...
