dover
Looking at painting my factory bumper and if I do I don't want it all scratched up from daily driving. What companies or who recommends a good place to have a clear bra sprayed on the front of my duramax?
TTQ B4U
Julius Poa 937-830-2797 He's awesome. You'll see him referenced a lot in threads here. Only person to do my cars.
POS VETT
Another recommendation for Julius Poa. He has installed paint protection film on six of my cars. Julius also does paint correction (including glass coating) on the side. If you have spent a good chunk of money to have the bumper sprayed, please don't go with spray-on film. STEVE-O
The clear bra if left on for a long period can discolor the underneath paint and leave a hard line where the bra stops. It takes a long time but I have seen it happen many times. Have you thought about just getting it dipped clear? So then you can remove it clean the paint etc then te apply it again? Perhaps on the old stuff but I've not seen that recently. Light paint correction should fix any difference. Back in 2006 when I sold my then 3yr old Accord Julious did, I removed the bra and it revealed a perfect finish underneath. The slight discoloration/fade appearance was knocked off with a buffer with ease. I had a simliar instance on my MS3 when I removed the body side moldings. May said it would have a yellow stripe where the adhesive was due to age, etc. Nope. Took it off and yes there was a yellow stain in the paint, but a slight hit with a buffer and fine polish took it away 100%.
ForeverMaker
Depending on where you are Performance Auto Spa in Plain City might be an option. http://www.theperformanceautospa.com/services/paint-protection.aspx They are great for tint and clear bra, but I would not recommend them for detailing services from what I have seen. POS VETT
I wouldn't let Performance Auto Spa install clear bra on any of mine after seeing the results on a friend's prized Miata. Some of the lines looked like they were cut using scissors by a toddler.
ForeverMaker
Never had any problems. One time I had a small bubble in my tint and they redid it with no hassle. Obviously didn't bother your friend if he didn't have them fix it. Just trying to provide options instead of a circlejerk. There is more than 1 rodeo in town that does clear bra. POS VETT
There have been multiple attempts to correct it, the results came out as bad or worse than the first one. My friend settled because he was tired of dealing with them. Want to assume something else?

TTQ B4U
sorry to hear man. just trying to offer alternatives... and I am actually serious about Zeibart. Zeibart did a great job on the tint with the MS3 back in 2008. Still looks fantastic.
Versluis
I'm surprised no one has said AAP. They have done all of my dads vettes, my R32 and most recently my VW GLI. They do great work and we have never been unhappy with their work. They also do all of MAG's high-end cars too. http://www.aapcolumbus.com/
