BIGGU
Looking for some assistance or loaner tools. Trying to get the Differential out of this rear end and Lexus has decided to use C clips to shim and hold the diff in there. Ive tried a few different snap ring removal tools, even gone to harbor freight and gotten the 10" set they have(junk btw) anyone have a C clip tool that would be willing to let me barrow it to try? Picture for reference so you can see what im talking about, http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/ISF/ATS/87354922-2DEF-4E2F-9C6B-32D254E7D74C_zpshydndbaq.jpg
noobiemcnooberson.
Take a pointed punch in one of the holes and smack it away from the retaining groove until you see it move, then try the pliers.

BIGGU
I tried my snap on but just couldn't get the power I needed to get it to close up so I could pull it out. I was thinking maby get some larger needle nose vise grips and grinding them down or weld new ends that will fit directly into the eyelets. what ever I do I gotta be carefull on the C clip as its a re usable part and it controls the adjustment of the backlash. Rocky31186
I have a heavy duty adjustable snap ring tool at work, Is it something that you could bring by my work and have me remove it? We remove snap rings like that and a lot bigger on a weekly basis.

Could you at least get it to squeeze together? Normally if you can at least get one size to move you can use a pair of straight screw driver to pry it out.
