Should I try to get rid of it as a whole, part it out, or just junk it? Again she only had liability so the MOST i can get for the car the best. Or if someone would even trade and older one for this one for the engine/etc. It was a 5 speed car... The engine still runs (engine/trans have 88k on them like the rest of the car) Feel like those should make it worth something...

Unless someone on here wants to buy it and fix it... But please CR what should i do?

It's not worth fixing, those are throwaway economy cars and that looks like some extensive damage. The good part about it being a common economy car is it should be easy to part out, and you'll see the most money that way. The downside to parting it, is it's time consuming and I'm guessing she needs a replacement vehicle ASAP.

Scrapping it you're only going to get a few hundred bucks. Id imagine the engine alone is worth at least that. Sell engine/wheels/doors/trunk/anything else that might be worth a few bucks then scrap the rest.

.

Check out some cobalt forums and part it out there?

Lol rims came on the car, and yeah shes fine. I dont have the space at all to part the car out, would anybody on here be interested in buying it to part it out? Ill give you a hell of a deal! And yeah she needs a replacement vehicle ASAP and has no money right now...

Or trade this to someone + cash for a older running car? Then they can make the money parting it out??

But I just dont have the room to part it out and places are offering like 200-250-300 to pick the car up and i know its gotta be worth more than that....

Scrap and salvage yards pay by the pound, not by the amount of usable parts on it unfortunately.

What did she hit.....Because she hit it hard.

She was driving home in the fog last night and didnt see the road bend/end or something and went right off into the tree at probably 20 by the time she hit it. Im glad shes ok but apparently im back on taxi duty... We just need to find her a cheap car...

This, sure was cruising along with that bad fog.

Never understood why people dont have full coverage on something like this, unless your driving records full of fucktard moments then it shouldn't be much more $$. Hope she enjoyed those few buck savings each month.

Personally me i would find a way to part it out. Will be a time and space consuming venture thst wont yield much money. Its not a desirable car in anymeans and and is in ever junk yard. Best bet if you dont want to wait the long run is to throw it on craigslist and sell the whole car. Maybe get 4-500 bucks.

I didn't want to be that guy right off the bat, but I completely agree with Paul. If it's not a vehicle that you can afford to replace out of pocket or just call a loss, spend the little extra a month and have full coverage.

Also, that car isn't worth anywhere near $2,000 as it sits.

I've been banned from that page for two years now.

I would never consider a pothead a friend, but I'm thankful for your kind words. But as memory serves me, the one time I met you Cordell introduced me to you, then you started saying some stuff.
