SloSVTruck
Hey everyone, a friend of mine has a 68-72 Oldsmobile cutlass with a 455 bored .030 over. Not 100% sure on the internals.... He said it has flat top pistons, solid cam(comp of some kind) with roller rockers and a set of edelbrock rpm heads with the rpm intake. Has a Holley 750 carb on it, hooker longtube headers. The guy who originally built it for him years ago seems to be too busy to want to mess with it now. I'm trying to see if there is any good recommended shops or people out there that have some expertise with these cars and could help him get it fine tuned and running right. Any recommendations out there?? Any help is appreciated thanks!

Dharris89
I used to be in the olds club and Steve Hunkins ran Special Interest Auto off Myrtle Ave. He has a small resto shop and really know Olds.

Thanks for that info, I'm not sure if he knows about it either should definitely be a good resource. Or does he get into some performance aspect of the cars/do mechanical stuff too? Thanks for all the info and recommendations so far guys!! Chadz89GTA
There's a guy in Dayton that was the only place I'd take my trans am too when it was carb'd. Chris's Carb Shop I lost the card for him but I'd imagine Google would have it. He knew his stuff and had my car tuned and running perfect in no time. One of those old school gems

My buddy from high school has a 1969 442 with a swapped in 455 - I used to give him a pretty good run for the money with my 400ci GTO.
