6 Speed S4
I have written service for several years and have made a decent living out of it. I also have an associates degree in automotive, worked as a certified tech for a few years, also worked in claims administration doing vehicle service contract claims... I want to get out of the service writing field, but I'm really not sure where to go from here... I have a lot of computer knowledge and I am willing to go back to school for a few years if I need to. I'd like to keep an automotive type job but I'm just unsure what I can do. I would appreciate any input. Cliffs: basically I have 8 years experience in auto field - service writing, detailing, service tech, and a few years of schooling. Looking to advance into something else that could be automotive related or maybe something different. Any ideas would be great. Joe
carl1647545492
Head of something in a dealership is the easy and natural progression....I could see a hiring manager liking someone with your mix of smarts and hands on experience. What are your goals?
Turbs3000
For something still vehicle related but with a lot of other pieces to it I could see you going into an Operations field. It's a field littered with old-timey folks where someone with technical knowledge can make a large impact.
wagner
My wife is a manager at Ricart, if you see something on their website that is what you are looking for let me know. I'm also looking for a career change and let me tell you now, it is hard. It seems unless you are checking every box a company is looking for, have an inside contact, and killed enough goats as an offering it is difficult to get an interview.
