hpfiend
Hey all- Does anyone have a copy of a Windows 7 Professional Recovery Disk? I bought a computer preloaded with Windows 7 Professional and I tried to do the "free" Windows 10 upgrade and my desktop crashed and will no longer boot. After waiting on hold with Microsoft for hours, after telling me to unplug and replug the mini tower in 4 times (seriously) they told me to contact the computer manufacturer. The product key on the side is strangely Windows Vista but I think I need a Windows 7 Professional recovery disk to allow me to repair my copy of windows 7 that I was running to get into safe mode to recover my data. I have tried all of the F1-12 keys. I thought I would throw this out there- My mini tower is a dell optiplex if that matters. I do have an XP recovery disk around here somewhere. Thanks!!!!! STEVE-O
First where did you buy it from? Dell had a program to upgrade from vista to 7 for free.. That is your answer to vista key but loaded with 7 when you got it.
KillJoy
If you can find a Dell OEM CD w/ Windows 7 Pro, it will auto Activate w/o ever entering a Key. KillJoy
