Welcome little Miss Virginia to our home

So with heavy hearts we had to forgo the addition of the 5yr old Pit Mix to our home. Given the situation with our current Pit who is not dog friendly we realized the stress and matter of bringing an adult dog into the home would be too much for everyone.

However, he has done very well with puppies in the past and as of even as early as this morning, he has adjusted nicely to little miss "Virginia" or "Ginia" for short. The name comes from the movie John Carter that my kids just loved.

She's 50% Boxer - Father and 50% Yellow Lab - Mother. Rescued from a family down south of Chillicothe who wasn't able to care for 8 pups. Father was about 80lbs and Fawn Boxer and mom was about 75lbs of beautiful friendly Yellow Lab.

Thanks to everyone for the insight in my previous thread and special shout out to Ryan who helped coach us to a sense of understanding with bringing two big unknowns together and what the consequences could have been. It really did take hearing it from someone with his training and background to come through.

So far all is going well and she's doing her job of keeping us up at night
